For the horticulturist, stop and smell some of the nearly 9,000 rose bushes growing in the desert. The Rose Garden at Mesa Community College is where you’ll find the vibrant colors, different forms, and various growth habits of these beautiful flowers. They are truly a sight to behold!

History Comes Alive

If historical aircraft gets your propeller spinning, be sure to visit the Commemorative Air Force Air Base of Arizona. Get up close and personal with some of the rarest and most unique military combat planes in the world. Be sure to bring your camera to snap some photos of amazingly preserved authentic war artifacts.

For historical artifacts of a paleontological nature, the Arizona Museum of Natural History offers a glimpse into life millions of years ago. There are also more recent civilizations, such as the Navajo, Apache, and the Ancestral Pueblo peoples.
